Chaining together habits to create routines is a nice way to reduce mental burden and get better results.

They’re a huge part of how I help teams to deliver things.

Starting & tracking habits

When I’m trying to start a new habit I use the “Don’t break the chain” technique with a physical wall chart like the one above.

Having it somewhere visible reminds me to do these things and gives me a little dopamine boost when I look at it.
