Welcome to my first set of personal week notes! Let’s see how this goes…
This week I:
facilitated a couple of OKR check-ins with clients
took my son to see the Yoko Ono exhibition at Tate Modern – We both loved it. As usual, Tate has done a great job of making it participative. Paradoxically, they’ve beautifully realised the idea that her art comes into being mostly within the mind of the observer.
📚 made a list of my favourite books
🤓 wrote about how I learned to love reading
had a few conversations with clients about OKRs: differentiating them from projects and exploring when to start “layering” them by using multiple contexts and cadences (e.g. annual OKRs, quarterly, company-level, team-level, etc.) Hint: Wait as long as you can.
🙋♀️ celebrated International Women’s Day
🖼️ visited Barbara Kruger’s electrifying gut-punch of a solo exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery
💌 attended Letters Live in support of Women’s Prize Trust at the Royal Albert Hall
🌭 had a nice dinner with my wife at Stein’s Berlin before the show
🥼 went with my wife and son to the Chanel Exhibit at the V&A. What extraordinary focus, determination, craft, creativity, work-ethic, and vision she had – and a flare for keeping things mysterious!
😋 ate dinner with the family at The Eight Hong Kong style cafe. Yum!
✨ discovered a new AI tool that builds websites and even blogs about “interesting” things for you. Yikes. 😬
Thanks for reading! I’m sure these will get better and more detailed as I do more but for now, done is better than perfect! See you next time.
